José Alvarez透露，据他所知，阿尔瓦雷斯在近期对未来的规划进行了明确选择，他已坚定地表示出离开现有球队，并对未来有了清晰的规划，期望在巴萨开启职业生涯的新篇章。尽管巴黎圣日耳曼已与阿尔瓦雷斯的周围人士及经纪人取得联系，但球员本人依然渴望加盟巴萨。在告知马竞之前，阿尔瓦雷斯及其经纪人希望巴萨能够保证球队有意愿签下他。巴萨需要恢复对1对1财政公平法案政策的执行，目前，球队已将此规则回归正轨，自7月1日起可以开始谈判。巴萨并未为这笔转会设定金额上限，因为他们专注于引进这名前锋。
